Vehicle wraps have become a popular marketing tool for both small businesses and corporations. When you market your business with a logo on your vehicle, you want to make sure to have something that will catch passersby’s eyes and attention. With these five tips, you can ensure that your logo will feature an eye-catching design.

Simplicity is Best

A car may have ample room for advertising or designing, but that does not mean you have to use every ounce of space for your logo. You want to create something simple that quickly imparts the message you want to send to the audience. For your business, the most important message is your business name, phone number and website, and quick description of what you do. You can save the rest of the information for your website. Remember that you are just trying to grab a person’s attention, not tell them everything. A typical person will only spend a few seconds looking at your car, so you want to have a logo that will tell them what they need to know in that time.

Limit your Text

In addition to keeping it simple, you want to limit how much text your logo has. The ideal car wrap tells the message visually, with the focus on an image with minimal text. Typically, the only text you will have will be the name of your business, phone number and website, and a small blurb about your company. Just make sure that whatever text you do have on your logo is easy to read, especially the contact information. When you choose the font for your text, make sure it is a simple font that will be easy to read.

Choose Colors Carefully

Color is one of the easiest ways to stand out from the crowd with your logo. When choosing the color scheme, make sure that it complements that of your company’s brand. You can also use contrasting colors to draw attention to the message. However, concentrate on using just a few colors, as too many colors might overwhelm the senses and alienate rather than draw in your potential customers. You should also consider color psychology when you choose your color scheme. Warm colors often work the best, as they are associated with positive emotions, so your potential customers will unconsciously associate your company with positive feelings.

Use the Natural Lines of the Vehicle

If you utilize a full body wrap for your logo, you can use the natural lines of the vehicle to help draw the eye to the logo. You can add accent designs and images that complement the logo and message on the sides of the vehicle that will guide the eye to the important messages in the logo. You can also use the style of vehicle you have to your advantage when choosing the design of your logo. For example, larger and tougher vehicles such as a Jeep or Hummer complement a logo with a more adventurous spirit.

Go for Shock Value

The best way to create an eye-catching logo is to create something that is bold and different than the other images vying for passersby’s attention. You can go for shock value, use an obscure idea, or utilize humor to your advantage. You do not want to go too far in trying to develop something obscure or shocking. The idea is to develop a logo that will make people pause and actually look at your car. You should still keep it simple with just one or two visuals that capture the audience. The most important thing to remember when developing your logo is that you only have a few seconds to capture your audience’s attention, so simple and concise is typically better.
